Cinnamon Sugar Soft Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 2 c warm milk
  • 1 1/2 tbsp yeast
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 8 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 1/4 c flour
  • 1/3 c baking soda
  • 3 c warm water
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. When the mixture is bubbly, mix in brown sugar, 4 tbsp butter, one cup flour, salt, and mix until combined.
  2. Add remaining flour one cup at a time, mix until sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rise for one hour until dough has doubled in size.
  4. After it’s risen, preheat oven to 450. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper, set aside. Divide the dough into twelve pieces, roll into long skinny rope. Twist into a pretzel shape.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix together warm water and baking soda until dissolved. Dip each pretzel into baking soda mixture and place on baking sheets. Bake 7-11 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a shallow dish, whisk together sugar and cinnamon. Brush pretzels with remaining melted butter, dip them in cinnamon sugar mixture.
