Chicken Pesto Sandwiches
Serves 2.
Ingredients
- garlic
- onion powder
- salt
- red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 chicken breasts
- Pesto
- Sourdough bread
- Oil (basically any kind is fine)
- Butter
- Provolone
Instructions
- Pound chicken thin to flatten it out and season it with garlic, onion powder, salt, and red pepper flakes (if desired), add a little oil to the cast iron skillet to cook it at medium heat.
- Assemble the chicken, provolone, and pesto to make two sandwiches on sourdough bread.
- Add butter to a nonstick pan at medium heat, searing either side of the sandwiches until they’re toasted.
